We offer several temporary hair smoothing treatments, keratin treatments, and alternative smoothing treatments for frizzy, wavy, or curly hair.
What is a keratin smoothing treatment?
Keratin treatments are a safe, effective way of smoothing frizz, light waves, curly or extra curly hair. We carry multiple fine brands of keratin treatments. They all have their differences, but the method is similar. the hair is infused with a keratin solution to penetrate the cuticle layer. This smoothing method temporarily “straightens” the hair once the Keratin is sealed into the hair with a flat iron.
Whether your hair is coarse, unruly, extremely curly, or very resistant, we have a formula and application for you. Results vary based on level of curl pattern. The looser the curl pattern and thinner the texture the smoother the results. Keratin treatments typically last up to three months depending on your hair type.

How much does a keratin treatment cost?
This service is quoted upon consultation only. The cost of your keratin treatment will depend on the length and density of your hair and the brand of keratin treatment we use. Longer, thicker hair requires more Keratin Solution and more time to apply, process and finish. All smoothing treatments include 1 ounce of product for short hair, 2 ounces of product for medium to long hair. Additional Keratin Solution needed will be charged at $45 per 1/4 ounce increments.

A. The keratin smoothing treatment is absorbed even better on chemically treated and damaged hair. The proteins and nutrients will seal the damaged cuticle and heal the hair.
Q. How long do I have to wait for my hair color when deciding to get the keratin smoothing treatment?
A. It is s ideal to get the hair color done first and then the treatment because of the cuticle is open and ready to fully absorb the keratin treatment. If you do have the keratin smoothing treatment done first and then decide to do color, you will want to wait 2 weeks before having a color service.

A. The most important thing you can do is use the appropriate aftercare product line that your salon or stylist offers. The more often you wash your hair, the less time your treatment will last so you may want to try to wash your hair around 3 times per week if possible.
Q. Will swimming in the ocean or pool compromise my keratin smoothing treatment?
A. Swimming in the ocean or pool is fine, but the life of your treatment may be compromised if you swim regularly. A leave in serum or conditioner is a great product to apply before swimming to protect the hair from the elements such as chlorine and salt in the water.
Q. How long do I need to wait to wash my hair after the keratin smoothing treatment?
A. There is normally a three-day waiting period for most Keratin treatments.

A. Yes. Actually, this treatment is a great solution to the common issue of hair extensions becoming excessively dry due to the lack of natural oils from the scalp. Ideally, it is easiest to perform the treatment before the extensions are put in the hair. However, if they are in the hair, it is not a problem. Extreme caution is used around the bond or cylinder areas.
Q. Is the keratin smoothing treatment permanent and will there be a new growth?
A. No the treatment is not permanent and will it “grow out.” The treatment gradually and evenly washes out so there is no “line of demarcation.” This treatment does not change the inner structure of the hair, but rather creates a protein layer overlay on the cuticle
which protects the hair. As the hair is protected for an extended time, the condition of the hair is improved.
Q. Can the keratin smoothing treatment be performed on clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding?
A. Since there have not been any studies or tests on the possible effects, we recommend Clients should get their doctor’s approval which is up to your discretion.
